At the Asia Literary Agency, our aim is to promote and champion

and to share with you

the wide and intense variety of fascinating stories coming
from Asia,
about Asia,
enticing readers to look beyond the bounds of the familiar,

to enjoy travelling
in our imaginations at least
to other places,

building cultural bridges

with our curiosity,
understanding at last
how alike we all are: sharing hopes, dreams, and surviving

alongside each other

in an increasingly fast-paced, rapidly changing, often confusing yet always
wonder-filled world.

The more we know about each other, the less we shall be ‘other’.

About the Asia Literary Agency

The Asia Literary Agency was founded in Hong Kong in 2013, at the tail end of the year of the dragon.

We represent Asian authors, experts on Asia and writers living in the region (with a few notable exceptions). We sell English-language rights direct, and when not selling direct elsewhere, we use a network of sub-agents.

In March 2016 we celebrated our three-year anniversary by launching our London-based office, from where we travel regularly back and forth to Asia.
