Photojournalist Tom Zimberoff has covered hundreds of historical and breaking news events and feature stories for periodicals worldwide. His portraits – of John Lennon to Steve Jobs plus two sitting American presidents – have graced the covers of magazines around the world. He’s shot ad campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, Hollywood movie studios, and the US Navy.
Zimberoff’s career-long body of work, shot on film, was acquired for conservation and academic research by the Briscoe Center for American History at the University of Texas at Austin. His prints are collected by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the National Portrait Gallery in London, among other institutions.
His book Photography: Focus on Profit is used to teach at colleges across the country. He also wrote and illustrated two books about the custom motorcycle culture he calls ‘haut moteur’ (Art of the Chopper Vols. I & II, with forewords by Sonny Barger of the Hells Angels and James Hetfield of Metallica).
