Katrina Shute
Katrina Shute began her career in television news with a small network in the Australian countryside, where the cameramen would play cricket in the studio during ad breaks. The big smoke soon beckoned her to Adelaide, where she became a news reporter and anchor for Network Ten.
Katrina lived in San Diego and Las Vegas before moving to Asia, where she is a regular contributor to Hong Kong-based Playtimes magazine.
Her children’s book, Nellie for Ellies, is based on the true story of a young girl and her successful endeavour to save an orphaned baby elephant and her ongoing campaign against poaching and the ivory trade.
