Standing up for what we believe in
The Asia Literary Agency was so very proud to be part of the first Dhaka Literature Festival, co-founded by one of our authors: K Anis Ahmed. Given the tense situation in Bangladesh after the blogger murders, 19 festival participants cancelled at the last minute. Asia Literary Agency signs Lee Eung-jun, anarchist and enfant terrible of South Korean literature published by the venerable house of Minumsa. Lee’s darkly comic, dystopian novel, The Private Life of a Nation, is set in a Korea of the future, after the peninsula has reunified. Italian rights sold to Atmosphere Libri. The English-language sample now on submission.
