Tew Bunnag
Tew Bunnag was born in Bangkok and studied Chinese and Economics at Cambridge University before travelling for seven years in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
In 1975 he became a T'ai Chi and meditation master and in 2000 he began working in the slums of Bangkok for the Human Development Foundation.
He writes about the contradictions between contemporary and traditional life in Thailand. His published works of fiction include Fragile Days, The Naga's Journey, Time of the Lotus (a bestseller in Spain) and Curtain of Rain (published in 2014 in English by River Books and in Italian by Metropoli d'Asia).
Tew's play, The Minotaur, was published in 2016 in the anthology, Southeast Asian Plays, launched in the National Gallery, Singapore.
Tew divides his time between Spain and Thailand.
